Light Fixture Finishes

I have customers ask me all of the time about what metal finishes they should use for their light fixtures.
In a panic they mention that they have stainless steel appliances in their kitchen and if they match the all of the metals they will need to install stainless steel pendants over their island… but then their kitchen opens up to their living and dining rooms so now they will need a stainless steel chandelier and ceiling fan… they don’t even like stainless steel!!
Relax.  Some of the most beautiful designer rooms have mismatching metals and you don’t even notice.

The same goes for other areas of the home.  Don't hesitate to mix metals... just make sure that if you use a different finish once to use it again so it doesn't look out of place.

Lighting Industry

When you walk into a room and it feels good - it has good lighting.  We all know that good lighting is essential for a room to function properly but why not have fun with it?  Why not be creative and do something unexpected?  One of my favorite things about the lighting industry is the variety of lighting options available.  There are fixtures for every design style and numerous options for lighting artwork or architectural details.  Your lighting can standout as a piece of art or it can be invisible and make a huge impact.  With different fixture types properly combined you can achieve an atmosphere that is comfortable, interesting, and unique.
